Make Your Own Baby Gift Cards

After you have wrapped your baby gift, you will need to add an enclosure card. It's a nice finishing touch even if you also include a greeting card with the gift. Baby gift cards (enclosure cards) are a great item for a mom to add to her baby's scrapbook page, especially if the card is one-of-a-kind and handmade by you! Here are some baby gift cards I made on the computer with a graphics program (Paint Shop Pro).

Baby Blocks Girl Gift Card

These gift cards were made using only a graphics program. For the baby boy card, the sparkly look was created with an effect called noise. The text is chiseled with an inner bevel. For the baby girl card, the blocks were created by combining rounded rectangles and lines. The frame has a drop shadow and has been buttonized.

The floral baby gift cards were made by scanning arrangements of pressed flowers into my computer. Pressed flowers are quite fragile. So, if you do this, handle with great care. (Hint: I glued my pressed floral arrangements onto a sheet of computer paper.) After that, I used a combination of graphics and scanned images to create the baby gift card.

Note: When you are ready to print your cards, you will need to use card stock. It can be found in any office supply store.

Get creative! See what you can imagine! I'd love to see what you can do!
